Adriana Lima Marks 25 yrs in the Biz in a Cover Story of L’Officiel Italy

Adriana Lima is the cover star of the L’Officiel Italy Spring 2022 issue. Lima, probably one of the most beautiful and successful models, is celebrating 25 years in the fashion industry. Adriana has been modeling since 1997 when she first went to New York to chase a career. The fashion scene of the 90s in New York was bursting with energy, with supermodels like Linda Evangelista and Naomi Campbell and photographer Steven Meisel and innovative designers like Marc Jacobs and Anna Sui. Adriana said in the interview, “It was almost like a party … Back then, the world was smaller, and everyone knew everyone.” When I moved to New York City in my 16s and stayed at Eileen Ford’s house, I didn’t have a model apartment since I was so young. So right away, I started doing castings. My first week, I had castings all day, from 9 in the morning to 7 or 8 at night, carrying my book around — we don’t do that anymore, said Lima. The beautiful model posed in clothes from prestigious brands such as FENDI and CHANEL.
