Selena Gomez for Allure “I Was Pressured to Look More Adult”

Selena Gomez graces the cover of Allure Magazine October 2020 issue. Gomez has been working nearly her entire life as she started acting at age eight when she was on the children’s show Barney And Friends—after that, she got a starring role on Wizards Of Waverly Place and roles in Disney movies and an outstanding singing career. In the October issue of Allure, Selena said that felt overexposed, and that has pressured to show more skin in some of her music videos. She reflected on the negativity she experienced amid her Lupus diagnosis, which she revealed in 2015. At that time, she was debuting her second album Revival, which included songs: “Good for You,” “Hands to Myself,” and “Same Old Love.” Selena told for Allure that she was under immense pressure to look more adult in the music videos and wear more revealing outfits. Selena was bare on the album cover and very provocative in the videos for “Hands To Myself” and “Good For You.” The album was released in 2015 when she was 23-years-old. Her massive career stress led to a break, causing her to check into a mental health facility. The singer said: “I have always had so many different emotions, and I did not know how to control them quite well. It was complicated. However, I think I am glad to understand it. Once I did find out more about who I was, I was happy. I also felt comfortable knowing that I was not alone, and I would get through it. So I will forever be passionate about that. It is something I will continue to talk about.”

Selena learned that not take social media too seriously. However, Gomez did return to Social media to move along the BLM movement. Former Disney star said: “There was so much that I did not know. I was so disturbed by how people were being treated and having people in my life that have a fight with that for years.”
